So..it has been a very long time since I've blogged. Ridiculous, I know, but it's never too late to start back up, right?
So, it's Ash Wednesday, in case you didn't know. This year I decided to give up Facebook AND Twitter. I tried the Facebook thing before, maybe two years ago, and it was tough. But, with more stamina, and a drive to get to know God better, I'm planning on being successful this year. :) So far today, I have struggled 3 times with feeling like I had nothing to do because I didn't have Facebook. So, the plan is, every time I miss Facebook (if you can miss a website) I will pray, and read my bible. This way, when Lent is over, it will be natural for me to open my bible instead of opening Facebook. I'm glad God placed this conviction on my heart. I spend entirely too much time on the computer, and relatively no time with Him. Time for that to change.
So, I will be tracking my journey with this blog. I hope that this doesn't take the place of Facebook. I will strive to only get on here once a day so as to focus on God and not replace one negative habit with another. We will see how it goes. Pray for me and my walk with God during these 46 days. God has got something big to show me. He is going to do some awesome work in me and I can't wait, but I have to be willing to shut up and listen.
