John 15:5

Remain in me and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Draw Me Close

So...this week has been a roller coaster. Earlier this week I was really feeling lonely and homesick. I never realized how close i was to my family until I moved out. But anyway, in my loneliness I have felt very drawn to spend time with God and for His comfort. Let me tell you, this loneliness thing might have been the best thing that ever happened to me. Instead of just doing devotions as a routine every day it become a necessity for me. I need to be in God's presence to get through the day. I've seen new meanings to some promises in the bible like "I will never leave you or forsake you" Joshua 1:5, and "Do not be anxious for anything but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God" Although I don't like being alone for too long, I'm loving this new aspect of my relationship with Christ. I'm having to fully rely on Him and His love. Trust has a whole new definition to me now. I'm loving it.

"Draw me close to you,
Never let me go
I lay it all down again
To hear you say that I'm your friend"

"You are my desire
No one else will do
Cause nothing else could take your place
To feel the warmth of your embrace
Help me find the way
Bring me back to you"

"You're all I want
You're all I ever needed
You're all I want

Help me know you are near"
